Dr. Tai deserves credit for the well thought-out and sometimes challenging assignments given in all her class. Assignments are issued on the average of one a week, and are usually due in seven days, although Dr.Tai has proven to be flexible with this schedule and is always sensitve to the situation and abilities of each of her students. Tests can be hard but if a student keeps up with the lab work they'll do fine. Her course was well planned so there are no surprises. Her sensitivity and open mindedness are well suited in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment such as SFSU.@

Dr. Eika Tai deserves credit for the well thought-out class. The class was designed to guide students through self-reflections and class discussions on the materials with a variety of views, while allowing for indiviuals to question her own perception and views. Reading assignments are given on the average of 100 pages a week, most of which are interesting. Her courses are well planned so there are no surprises such as unannounced quizes or projects due at the last minute. Dr.Tai is very intelligent and her answers to students' questions were always articulate. Her sensitivity and open mindedness are well suited in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment such as SFSU. If a student is prepared to work hard, s(he) wiil be treated fairly as an intelligent adult, and will learn alot.

Reading/Grammar, which I thought would be a nightmare, was quite the opposite! The class is challenging, fun and everyone seems to work hard. Tai's teaching style is also very good. Grades are based on 6 chapters quizzes, a few other quizzes and a final of some sort. Although each chapter is structured the same(which can get tiresome), you know what you need to do in order to succeed in the class.
