John K. Tripp

I'm a marketing major and this is my first semester taking marketing elective and I truly recommend you to take Professor Tripp. He is really nice, easy going, and has a great personality. Funny man also...he had his address and phone number on the syllabus! His class is composed of:

2 Quizzes-10% Midterm-25% Team project-25% Individual Project-40%

Make sure you go to class because most of his quiz and midterm questions are from his lecture. Otherwise, find yourself a buddy to copy notes from! There is no FINAL in the class except for the group project presentation. The class assignment is pretty interesting...for the invidual project, you have to do an advertising campaign for a product/service and it shouldn't be that difficult because he'll guide you through with it as the semester pass by. The group project is doing the same thing (advertising campaign) but for a new product/services. I had a great time in the class so if you are looking for a marketing class to take, take Tripp. He's cool!!!

Professor Tripp is a super teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed his class. He is knowledgeable and friendly as well. The class consisted of the following:

2 Quizzes cumultatively worth 10% of your grade. They cover the class lecture and/or textbook. 1 Midterm covering the lecture. All exams are not multiple choice, they are Q&A. 1 Group advertising project 1 Individual advertising project

There is no final...the individual project counts as the final. If you take his class, you need to attend everyday or bum notes off of someone. You will be lost if you don't.
