Dr. Watanabe is a wonderful professor, I really enjoyed his class. The class has a lot of reading, but very relevant to the topics discussed in class. He has three observations that need to be done off campus. You arrange with a school to observe a classroom for an hour. Then write up a short paper on what you observed. The midterm covered all the readings and topics discussed in class. You have to administer two standardized tests-then do a write up paper on what you discovered. The last assignment is to create a unit plan lesson, for a classroom level of your choice. You pick the topic, projects, tests, and discussions. You have to copy your project for the entire class and present it orally.

The class was wonderful, the assignments were spaced out enough that you didn't feel overwhelmed by them. He's a good teacher with a passion for working with children with Learning Disabilities.
