Fascinating, Important Course; O.K. lecturing

The topics of the hidden reality of water, our importance of it to us, the environmental struggles associated with water, the reality behind dams and their impact on the environment and people, all of these are explored in the class. One field trip is required and it is a fascinating and an "eyes-on" opportunity to confirm what you have learned on paper and by listening to lectures. Nancy has a solid grasp on knowledge of the subject and she really cares about water and the environment. There are two tests and one paper. I, personally, did not enjoy Nancy's lecturing style: it was in a form of freeflowing imparting of info, not very structured, where I was left feeling not knowing what parts of her conversation to us will be covered on tests. Some teachers, like Meihoeffer, relate info non-forcefully also, but he made sure that important points were emphasized by saying stuff like "there are two parts to why corn is number one feed crop in the U.S". Nancy just told a story, that like natural rivers, didn't run straight, it curled and meandered and then found its way again. For people, like me, who like more structure in lecturing, Nancy's lectures were all over the place
