WONDERFUL!!!

I had Wendy Williams for ECON 100 and ECON 101 and must say that she is an outstanding teacher! I was especially impressed with the way she made herself available to her students both within and outside classroom time. At the time that I entered her ECON 100 class, I had been out of school for many years and knew absolutely -ZIP- about economics and my math skills were really rusty. Graphing things was very difficult for me, but with Wendy's coaching and assistance, I overcame my GRAPH-phobia! I learned so much in her two classes. I would highly recommend her classes to anyone who wants or needs that "little something extra" from an excellent teacher who is able to communicate complex concepts so that they can be readily understood.

Supply/Demand

class is really straight forward. 3 exams (drop lowest score) and 1 final. extra credit is given for 10% of the final. 90% or above on exams, exempt from the final. exams are straight out of the study guide (lectures/text). lectures are a bit slow, but VERY easy to follow..not too boring. her personality isnt all that great (dont expect her to know who you are even if she sees you on campus), but she knows the material extremely well and i sure did learn a lot from her.

A great teacher

Dr. Williams is one of the best professor I've ever met. Her exams were straight forward without any unpleasant surprise. Her grading system was excellent. If you get A on all 3 mid-terms, you don't have to take the final. Also, if you get an A on the final exam, you will get an A, no matter what you get for your mid-terms. The best part is that you can really learn something from her. However, you have to come to her class every meeting and take good notes. Dr. Williams is highly recommended.

She's a teriffic professor, she knows how to make economic too easy. The midterm and final are not so difficult, and she will give you the study guide to prepare for them which is very helfpul for the exam. She also make sure that her students know everything, if not she will repeat the leacture over and over till everybody get it. If you want a professor who cares for her students to learn, then take her class.

Williams was the best econ teacher i'd ever had. Sometimes her lectures may look borring but they are very concise. she teaches us important things about the economics and she also shows us graphs about demand and supply. she only not show them what they look like, but she also explains about the graphs and teaches us how to draw them. before the exams she would give us a study guide to study and help us review the day before the exam. she also cares about students and help them give tips on what to study for the exams. econ may not be the subject for some of u, but if u want to get an A in this class, u at least have to go to her lectures and take all the notes, and make sure to review the notes for the study guide. basically the notes are pretty much the answers on the study guide and also the key to the exams. u just have to study hard. her grading system is fair. she gives out 3 exams and a final. she will drop the lowest grade for one of three midterms. if u get all A's on the midterms then u don't have to take the final except a take home final. other than that u have to take the final if u don't get all three A's. also if u get an A on the final exam it will gurantee u an A for the semester even if u got like a b or c, or A. that's what i got, i got like d, b+ and A-, and an A for final. proffessor william will also help students if they don't understand something that they don't know and if u have questions, u can always go to her office hours and get help from her. well good luck to u all students who's planning to take her for econ 100. hey if u take this class it will definitely bring up ur gpa, that's if u study hard in her class. cuz i will definitely take her again for econ 101.

Prof. Williams is a tight teacher. She really knows her stuff. She gives three tests and a final. If you get A's on all three tests you don't have to take the final. Her tests are easy cause all you have to do is study your notes and the study guide.

She is a very fantastic professor. Eventhough the class is very hard, she makes it very easy.. As long as you come to class and take good notes, you will definitely get and "A" in her class. She is very patient and wants everybody to ask question if ever you dont understand a subject. She also curves the grade the will help your grade up.. She does everything in favor of students. I will definetly take her again and would recommend for everybody to take

Professor William is one of the best teacher I have ever have. She lecture very good and clear. I like the way she give us study guide before hand to study. She have 3 exams the with the lowest score also get drop. If you score A's on the first 3 exams then you don't have to take the final. If you score an A on the final then you get an A for the course. Basically she's being too nice. Anyway I recommend this teacher to every other Econ 100 students. GREAT TEACHER period!

Miss Williams is a great teacher. I could tell that she's an intelligent person and knows the material very well. My only complaint was she often goes too fast on her lectures. At times, though very rarely, she would stop so we can write down what she said. The great thing about her is she's very generous when it comes to her mid-terms. On all 3 of the mid-terms we took during the semester, she gave us extra points. Her exams are also quite easy if you study. Everything is in the study guide that she gives out. I got away with reading only a few chapters in the book and cramming for the mid-terms the day before it was given. I got an A in the class. But, I'd suggest to her future students to study ahead of time and to constantly look at the review guide. This will save you time and much stress. If you get an A on all 3 of the mid-terms, you don't have to take her final. That was my initiative to do well on the exams, and I succeeded. The trick is to just pay attention to her lectures (try not to fall asleep...it tends to get boring sometimes) and take plenty of notes. Believe me, it will make you life easier. Good luck!

Profesor Williams really had a command on her subject. If you read the chapters before the test and really go and pay attention in class you will do good. While Economics is not the most interesting subject she taught it well and though some students did do poorly it can be said that many of them also did not come to class. While it can be said that some people did do poorly on the tests I really can't say it was too much the this teacher's fault because she gave us all study guides in which everything she told us to study was on them. Good teacher!

One of the best instructors teaching macro-economics. She is well organized and clear and because of that I was able to digest and abstract a lot of important information. There were three exams given for the semester along with reading assignments, not unusual for economics. And she also passed out study guides one week prior to the exams which made everything manageable.

Highly recommended...

She is one of the most enthusiastic Economics teacher I've ever seen. She explains the material very well, and creats a wonderful atmostphere for learning. She doesn't give out multiple choice exams, all essay type questions, which allows great flexibility to show what you've learned and studied.

I'm currently taking Wendy Williams for Econ 100. She's a real good teacher. Altough there's alot of material to cover, she explains it very well. She hands out a study guide well in advance, and everything on the study guide will be on the exam, so there are no surprises. There's no homework throughout the semester. As long as you show for class, you're in good hands.

Williams is a great teacher. This was my first year at state and she went up and over what I expected from a teacher. She prepares you totally for your tests. She passes out a study exam, and as long as you follow and study from that, you're sure to get an A on the test.

Williams is the first instructor who allowed me to learn Econ. She is clear, concise, and doesn't overwhelm the student with more information that is necessary. I actually enjoyed learning economics. She gives opportunities for extra credit and does not require you to take a final if you have an "A" going into the final. She also drops your lowest of three exam scores. She is always prepared to teach a good lecture. Very good instructor.

She is a good teacher, but sometimes it is a boring listening to her lectures. She does a great job in explaining everything and writing everything on the board so it is easy to follow. Her exams are fair and are based a lot upon her lectures. You can learn a lot from her.

This is one of the instructors you would recommend to your best friend. Sbe was always prepared and very professional. It was always very easy to follow her lectures. She had a very good rapport with the students. Her exams were reasonable (not multiple choice). She always tried to make the subject interesting and easy to understand. She also showed short films a few times that made her lectures even more interesting. If you want to learn and like creative instuctors, Professor Williams is the one for you. She knows her business very well and will help you with any of your questions.
