I think she's the only professor in English department that lets you bring papers late and miss a few classes!

She was always prepared for the class.

There are not too many assignments in her ENGL 410. Prior to assigning a paper, she spends many class periods covering the topic in details. She stimulates students to generate ideas useful for future writing. It really makes things easier - you have less work to do at home. I wouldn't say that her class sessions were very interesting, but they were definitely helpful for writing the essays.

She is smart, logical and accepts different points of view. I'm sorry, but I can't say the same about most women I know. I also liked how she handled a very strange obnoxious student who was always interrupting and got on everyone's nerves.

I think she's a relatively easy grader, but I haven't seen other student's grades.

I think Claudia is a good instructor. She prepares for the class well. I've learned a lot from her. The way how she teaches is very easy to understand and it helps students improving their writing skills. She's helped me to learn my grammar pretty well so I could prepare for my later composition classes. Overall, I think she is a good teacher.

The instructor was prepared most of the time, but her lectures were not interesting at all. I have to give her a credit - she helped me a lot with my essay drafts during individual conferences. Her enthusiasm was not there (maybe it was somewhere else). I do not think she is all that excited about teaching, I felt that she was bored most of the time. However, she was very patient and respectful to those students whose English was impossible to comprehend. I always felt that she would had rather been somewhere else, but in the classroom. On the other hand, we managed to cover everything we planned during the semester. I just wish she were more live and warm, because she definitely has a potential.
