Professor Zhang is a fairly good teacher. She is brand new to SFSU. She teaches the class primarily through powerpoint presentations and simple examples on the board. She is fairly easy to understand despite her accent. She knows the subject well and welcomes questions from students. Her class consists of four homeworks, two midterms and one final. The homework is questions from the book and she gives solutions after the due date. The midterm consist of 20 M/C and two questions worth alot of points. The final consisted of 40 M/C questions and one calculation and graphing question. Unfortunately she counts the final as 45% of the grade. I know you had to look at that again, yes it is 45%. She has a website where all the material for the class is posted. I never really paid attention in class and learned really from the book and notes online. But one can learn from her. You have to work hard to get a good grade in her class. Overall, I would recommend her but if there is someone easier then take that instructor.
