Larry Zhen

Larry has a very heavy accent that is hard to understand and impossible to get use to. He's a very nice person and he's willing to help you if you ask him. But he usually just gives you the answers without clearly explaining why. His tests and quizzes are pretty confusing, but the good thing is that you can ask him what the question means when you are taking the test. most professors don't let you ask questions after the exam starts. Since he only taught lab, his lectures are very confusing and hard to understand because we might not have learned it in the lecture class yet. sometimes, he expects us to know it.

Engr 350 - electromagnetics, supposed to be an interesting class, but this guy makes it one of the most boring stupid engineering class you'll ever experience. Although Dr. Zhen is an extremely nice person, his teaching capablities sucks!!! He's a very approachable, nice friendly teacher, BUT his lectures are terrible, all he does is write those stupid numbers on the board, and try to explain it. There's no conceptual instinct just all numbers & formulas! Another one is that you can hardly understand what he says (accent) ...... I can assure one thing YOU'RE NOT GOING TO LEARN ANYTHING FROM HIS LECTURES!!! you don't have a choice anyway, he's the only guy - tough luck!!! (don't sweat it, his exams are easy, & i doubt anyone will fail in his class)
