I'd take her for all my courses

prof zieff is a great teacher. she kept the attention of the class and expresses her ideas articulately and effectively. her tests are pretty easy if you take advantage of the study guides that she hands out before the exams. the one downfall of the course is the project - the ethnography, it's a beeyotch!! you have to interview people and write 8-10 pages worth, but you should expect a little hard work from a good teacher and this is nothing if you want to go on in this major.

Dr. Zieff is one of the top three teachers I've had at SF State. She makes you think about things you think you already know but have really only scratched the surface of. I would tell any teacher who has the opportunity to take one of her classes to do so. But be prepared to work as we know all the best teachers force students to do. She is above the pack when it comes to teaching.

Dr. Susan Zieff ROCKS!!!! She is an amazing lecturer and has the perfect qualifications to be part of our Kinesiology Department. Even if you don't HAVE to take one of her classes you should definitely enroll in it just for the shear pleasure of the experience. She is fair, heavily dedicated to her work and to the students. She is always very welcoming and available. She is the #1 professor in the department and one of the very best on campus.

Dr. Susan Zieff is an extraordinary woman and a wonderful professor to have in the Kinesiology Department. She is the ONLY professor in the Kinesiology Dept. that has the ablility to convey information clearly to students. She is thorough and very, very fair. Dr. Zieff knows the material well. She has many very interesting things to say. Her class was the only kinesiology class that I actually enjoyed. The rest of the Kinesiology faculty should take some pointers from Susan on how to run a classroom. She is top notch and I recommend her without reservation.

I have to admit that Zieff is a very good instructor. Good voice projection, assertive. But I also have to admit that the class is quite BORING, maybe it's only me. The teacher usually bring up a topic then lecture the whole class on that topic. Mostly the lecture consist of discussion with the students. And it goes on and on. . I just can't stand it. I felf restless and bore. I said to myself "Just get to the point and change topic." On the bright side, if you're a person who love to speak and in class and discussion, you'll love this class. Otherwise if you're someone like me- silent, you'll get bored. TEST: There are two midterms and one in class essay. All essay type questions. There is a project- ethnography where you have to seek a group of participants and activity; you'll have to observe the activity, interview and analyze the group of participants. She's quite fair with the grading. Most of the essay questions are based on your own evaluation and experience. So you could just b.s. on it and get an okay grade. But unfortunately, I'll be getting a C.
