I think this may have been her first time teaching this type of course, so that may have had something to do with it. But, oh my god! There was soooo many texts assigned to read! Three readers, plus a bunch of stuff online! There was just no way! I understand this is a survey course, but I took 460 the semester before this one, and it was no where near the amount of work she required. She also assigned a substantial mid-term paper that she took 6 weeks to return! Since there were only 100 points available in the class, that is an unacceptably long time to take in letting the students know what 20% of their grade is (and that was with two T.A.s!). It was just very frustrating, tedious, and overall I'd have to say very dry and boring. Of course I'm not a lit major so that may account for some of my extra unhappiness with the class, I wasnt very interested to begin with, it was required.

also there is something strange about the volume of her voice, she goes from very load to soft and back again while speaking. It seems like a radio station fading in and out, and once I noticed what she was doing, I couldnt get over it.
